Terms of service
Last updated 27 September 2026
Statonic (“we”, “us”) is a Brisbane, Australia based short-form video production business operated by its founder as a sole trader. These terms cover the use of statonic.com, our editing portal at edit.statonic.com, and our internal publishing system, which uploads videos we produce to social accounts we operate. Client engagements are governed by their own written agreements, which take precedence over anything here.
1. The website
statonic.com is an information and contact site. You may use the contact and creator application forms for their stated purpose. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share, and do not use the forms to send spam or automated traffic. How we handle what you send is described in the privacy policy.
2. The publishing system
Our publishing system is an internal tool. It is not offered to the public, has no sign-up and no fee. It is used by Statonic's operator and by creators working with Statonic who choose to connect an Instagram account, YouTube channel or TikTok account they own so that videos we produce together can be published to it. If you connect an account, these terms apply to you.
- You must own, or be authorised to publish to, any account you connect.
- You approve what is published. Nothing is uploaded to your account that you have not agreed to, and you can see the title, caption, privacy setting and interaction settings before a post goes out.
- You can disconnect at any time from your Instagram, Google or TikTok account settings, or by asking us. We delete the stored credentials within 7 days.
- If you turn on the comment-to-message feature for your Instagram account, you approve the keywords, the reply wording and the links before they go live, and the replies are sent in your account's name.
- You remain responsible for the content on your account and for its compliance with the platform's rules.
3. Platform terms you also agree to
The publishing system uses Meta's Instagram API, YouTube API Services and the TikTok Content Posting API. By connecting an account through it you also agree to be bound by the platform's own terms:
- Instagram: the Instagram Terms of Use and Meta Platform Terms. Meta's handling of your data is described in the Meta Privacy Policy. You can revoke our access under Settings, Website permissions, Apps and websites in the Instagram app.
- YouTube: the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke our access at any time from your Google security settings.
- TikTok: the TikTok Terms of Service, TikTok Privacy Policy, and, for anything published through the system, the Music Usage Confirmation and Branded Content Policy.
Content uploaded through the system must comply with the Instagram Community Guidelines, the YouTube Community Guidelines and the TikTok Community Guidelines. By publishing you confirm that it does.
4. Content and intellectual property
Videos we produce are ours, or our clients', under the relevant agreement. Connecting an account does not transfer any rights in your account or its existing content to us, and does not transfer rights in our videos to you beyond what the platform grants to a publisher. The Statonic name and wordmark are ours; do not use them without permission.
5. Availability and liability
The website, editing portal and publishing system are provided as they are. We do not promise they will be available at any given time, and platform APIs can change or fail outside our control. To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site, portal or publishing system. Nothing here excludes rights that cannot be excluded by law.
6. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do. We may disconnect any account from the publishing system at any time, and will do so on request. Continued use of the site or the system after a change means you accept the updated terms.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
8. Editing portal
The portal is available to invited users to create and review video drafts. By submitting an edit, you agree to these terms. Any separate written client agreement takes precedence if it conflicts with this section.
- Only connect an account and select footage you are authorised to use. You must have the permissions needed to process the footage through our service, including permissions relating to people appearing in it, music and other third-party material.
- You retain your existing rights in source footage. You give Statonic and its processing providers permission to copy, transcribe, analyse and edit that footage as needed to provide the requested service. This does not grant permission to publish it in our marketing.
- Ownership and licensing of commissioned outputs follow your written agreement with us. Where no separate agreement applies, you may download and use the outputs for purposes permitted by your rights in the source material. Our software, templates, branding and third-party assets remain subject to their existing rights; AI output may not attract exclusive copyright.
- AI edits can mishear speech, change meaning through cuts, omit context or produce incorrect captions. Review the whole video, including names, numbers, statements and permissions, before publishing or relying on it. Automated review is not a guarantee of accuracy.
- The portal produces a downloadable draft; submitting footage does not authorise social-media publication. Keep a separate copy of your original files and any outputs you need.
- Access, trial allowances and any charges are those communicated for your workspace or agreed in writing. An edit credit is not a guarantee of unlimited retries or a particular completion time. No payment obligation is created merely by connecting Google Drive.
- Keep your workspace password and access link private. Do not attempt to access another workspace, bypass usage limits or submit unlawful material. We may suspend access to address misuse or security issues, subject to your agreement and applicable law.
Selected footage and derived text are processed by our hosting and AI providers as described in the portal privacy notice. Disconnecting Google stops future authorised access but does not remove saved results; contact us for deletion. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
